Push the collar in to release and pull the air line out. 6.Loosen and remove the ball joint nut to separate the ball joint from the spindle assembly. 7.Loosen and remove the top three(3)mounting nuts and bottom mounting nut/bolt. 8.Remove the air strut from vehicle. 9.Removal complete. *Air Suspension Spring Removal Guideline: 1.Rotate the air strut's solenoid counterclockwise to the first stop, then carefully pull out to depressurize the air spring. 2.Loosen the rod end nut and remove. 3.Turn the assembly upside down and using a flat head screwdriver depress the securing tabs to dislodge the piston from its position. 4.Remove the shock from the air spring assembly. 5.Pull the retainer pins holding the upper mount to the air spring top and pry the mount off. If a new mount was purchased you may disregard this step. *Air Suspension Spring Installation Guideline: 1.Clean the reused parts and apply the new o-rings and lubricant. 2.Install the new air spring onto the shock absorber. 3.Install either the reused or new top mount onto the air spring and firmly seat them together. 4.Secure the rod end nut and the retainer pins into place on the upper mount. *Air Suspension Strut Installation Guideline: Installation is in reverse order of air strut removal. * Removal Warning & Notice: Vent all air pressure from the air suspension system prior to disconnecting or removing any air suspension components. It is dangerous to remove air suspension components while under pressure. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury. Do not attempt to inflate any air spring which has been collapsed while uninflated from the rebound hanging position to the jounce stop. When installing a new air spring, care must be taken not to apply a load to the suspension until springs have been inflated using the air spring fill procedure. After inflating an air spring in the hanging position, it must be inspected for correct shape. 1.NOTE: The vehicle must be positioned on a suitable lifting device prior to deflating the air suspension system.
